Day 1 | Oct 4                Fly RSW to Shanghai


Fly RSW to Chicago via UA825 (7:01am/9:15am), connect UA857 to Shanghai departing at 10:00am.


Day 2 | Oct 5                Arrive Shanghai


Arrive Shanghai at 5:55pm, upon arrival Beijing, capital of China, a friendly English speaking guide will meet you and transfer you to Shanghai Mansion Hotel (centrally located 4 star).


Day 3 | Oct 6                Shanghai (B, L, D)


Your afternoon will start with a lecture and discussion hosted by Jewish History Research Center in Shanghai, then visit the historic locations of Jewish Synagogues, hospitals, schools, clubs of the old Shanghai. Also, visit the former Hongkew Ghetto where a large number of Jewish refugees lived during WWII. Enjoy the Shanghai Acrobatic Show tonight.


Day 4 | Oct 7                Shanghai to Nanjing (B, L)


AM: Visit to the Old Town, Yuyuan Garden, the Bund (waterfront) and the bustling Nanjing and Huaihai Roads. Lunch at a local restaurant.


PM: Take Train # T 724 to Nanjing (4:12pm/6:54pm), one of the China's more attractive major cities. It sports a long historical heritage and has twice served briefly as the nation's capital, firstly in the early years of the Ming dynasty (AD 1368-1644) and secondly as the capital of the Republic of China in the early years of the 20th century. Upon arrival, transfer to jinyuan Hotel.


Day 5 | Oct 8                Nanjing (B, L)


Full day visit to the Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen located at the Southern foot of Purple Hill, the remains of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the great revolutionary forerunner of China. Nanjing Museum, the Presidential Palace, Confucius Temple & National Exam House.


Day 6 | Oct 9                Nanjing to Shanghai to Yichang/Cruise  (B, L, D)


Take Train # 711 to Shanghai (7:44am/11:15am). A friendly guide will transfer you to Shanghai Airport for flight to Yichang via FM365 (1:25pm/3:05pm, first class), upon arrival, met and visit the China Sturgeon Research Institute, after dinner, transfer to board a deluxe Victoria Cruise ship for upstream sailing along the grand Yangtze River Cruise.


Day 7 | Oct 10               Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)


Morning shore excursion to visit the world largest Hydroelectric Project ¨C the Three Gorges Dam, then pass through the Ship Locks of the Three Gorges Dam, sail through Xiling Gorge, the longest among the Tree Gorges.


Day 8 | Oct 11               Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)


Upon arrival at Badong, transfer to small river craft on the narrow Shennong Stream to explore the Parrot and Dragon Boat Gorges. Continuing upstream, pass through the scenic Wu Gorge and the most magnificent Qutang Gorge.


Day 9 | Oct 12               Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)


On the way upstream, we will dock and visit the ancient Shibaozhai Wooden Tower or Wanxian or Fengdu.


Day 10 | Oct 13              Arrive Chongqing to Xi'an (B, L)


After docking at Chongqing, the mountain city of Yangtze, your guide will meet you and take to the Stillwell Museum and Eling Park, after lunch in a local restaurant, transfer you to airport and fly to Xi'an via MU2404 (3:20pm/4:20pm), one of the ancient capitals of China. Transfer to Bell Tower Hotel (centrally located 4 star).


Day 11 | Oct 14              Xi'an (B, L, SD)


Join full day seat-in coach sightseeing tour to the Museum of Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses ¡°one of the greatest archaeological finds of the century¡±, Hua Qing Springs and also visit Banpo Neolithic Village. Enjoy a dumpling dinner, then attend a Tang Dynasty music show.


Day 12 | Oct 15              Xi'an to Kaifeng (B, D)


Take Train # N 252 to Zhengzhou (11:00am/6:06pm), upon arrival, met and dinner in a local restaurant, then driver to Kaifeng, check into Yuxiang Hotel (3 star, the best in town)


Day 13 | Oct 16              Kaifeng (B, L, D)


Morning ¨C meeting and discussion to be held in Kaifeng Jewish Study Association. Lunch with the scholars. Afternoon ¨C visit Jewish History Exhibition in Kaifeng Museum, the families of Jewish descendants and Jin's family tomb, one of the Jewish families in Kaifeng. And also, visit the 13-story glazed octagonal Iron Pagoda built in 1094 AD; and the Dragon Palace, an imperial palace of the Liang, Jin, Han, Zhou and Song dynasties. Check into hotel.


Day 14 | Oct 17              Kaifeng to Zhengzhou (B)


All day free on own to explore this historic town. Later afternoon, private drive to Zhengzhou, check into Red Coral Hotel.


Day 15 | Oct 18              Zhengzhou to Beijing to RSW (B)


Transfer to Zhengzhou airport and fly to Beijing via CA1332 (1015A/1130A), connect UA850 to Chicago (4:35pm/4:25pm), connect UA1206 to RSW (7:10pm/10:56pm).
